A Sustainable Local Economy

Every day, it gets harder for working families to survive in Hawai’i. But we can build a sustainable local economy that serves the needs of working families. To make that vision a reality, Tina will champion policies that 1) invest in local agriculture to produce local food for local consumption, 2) support small business and make corporations pay their fair share, and 3) strengthen the rights of the workers who are the backbone of our local economy.

In her previous role at the legislature, Tina worked closely with advocates to draft policies that aimed to increase local food production and strengthen farm-to-school connections, advance tax fairness for working families, and extend collective bargaining rights to graduate student workers. She is a strong supporter of our local unions and believes that when workers come together, our whole community benefits.
